The history.

Ferrari debuted the successor to Ferrari’s V8-engined special series on March 6th, 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show. This time based on the 488 platform, dubbed the Pista - which is “Track” in Italian. Like all track-variant Ferrari’s, the 488 Pista borrows design ques from the GTE and Challenge race cars.

The 488 Pista offered a host of mechanical and cosmetic upgrades over the standard model. Those upgrades included a power increase from 661hp to 710hp - making it the most powerful V8 Ferrari has ever produced, 90kg in weight savings, extensive carbon fiber, a lower ride height, new light weight wheels with more aggressive tires from factory, brakes that borrowed technology from the La Ferrari hypercar, and improved aerodynamics.

The result was a package that increased downforce by over 20% versus the GTB, a faster 0-60 of 2.8 seconds, and overall handling improvements accompanied by a more racecar aesthetic.

The nearly-new 488 Pista presented here, chassis #ZFF90HLA4L0251488 is finished in Rosso Corsa with black and white racing stripes over Black suede interior with red accents throughout. This Pista also benefits from roughly $113,000 in options such as a carbon fiber rear diffuser, carbon fiber engine cover, carbon fiber underdoor covers, carbon fiber front flaps, carbon fiber side air splitter, front-axle lift, titanium exhaust pipes, alcantara trim and carpets, and much more.

This example has just two owners from new and has covered a mere 4,887 miles. Originally delivered to Ferrari of Houston where it remained for two years and just 2,407 miles before being sold out state to New York where it landed with the current owner and consignor. Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, CT has handled servicing duties completing minor warranty and service work several months ago in April of 2024. The items addressed were a passive entry ECU software update, oil change, fresh fluid top-off, drive belt replacement, and cleaned ignition coils. Based on the transferable maintenance plan, it is eligible for another servicing as of November 30th, 2024 with the plan extending all the way until December 21st, 2026. This plan is also transferable to the next owner(s).

Today, this 488 Pista presents in factory fresh condition as one would expect such low mileage. The Iconic Rossa corsa paint shines in the sun and all of the carbon fiber accents both inside and out look fantastic. The entire car is protected in paint protection film with further protection underneath the car via a front skid plate. The only blemish of note would be some very minor bubbling on the edges of the paint protection film near areas like the edges of body panels. Overall this low-mile example marks a great entry point into Ferrari’s final edition of the V8-engined special series line of which they built approximately 3,500 units, with desirable options and a quite frankly insane driving experience.
