The history.

The Dodge Challenger Hellcat used a 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 that wasn’t technically supposed to exist. Partly built in secret, it was originally planned to be a 675hp V8 to compete with the upcoming GT500, but the Director of the SRT powertrain division had an internal mandate with his team that they would eclipse the 700 mark. In 2015, Dodge unveiled what was the first production car to cross the 700hp threshold.

This achievement opened up the floodgates, and in the years following many cars would be unveiled that met or exceeded that horsepower number. Even other Challengers, which brings us to 2018, and the debut of the Dodge Challenger Demon. The Demon was to build off of the Hellcat’s success and be even more drag-focused and purpose-built. This time it came from the factory with up to 840hp, an extra set of skinny tires, and a transbrake - all to propel the Demon to a quarter-mile time of under 10 seconds, which is unbelievable for a factory road car.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon presented here is 1 of just 122 examples finished in F8 Green over a black leather and suede interior with red seatbelts.

Dodge only produced roughly 3,300 examples of the Demon and this particular example has just 11 miles. It is essentially undriven with many of the pre-delivery stickers and plastic covers still applied. Upon Delivery in 2018, this Demon was driven from the dealership a few miles away to where it resides now, in a climate controlled garage/condo combination and has not been used since.

Each Dodge Demon came equipped with the extremely potent 6.2L supercharged V8, drag mode suspension, launch control, a transbrake, wider fender flares, and updated cooling. This example also benefits from optional upgrades such as Demon logo embossed in alcantara seats, rear seats, and the Demon Crate. The Demon Crate added skinny front tires, a torque wrench, jack, air compressor, ECU which unlocks the full 840hp, and more.

With just 11 miles on the odometer and many of the factory protective stickers and covers still applied on the car, this Dodge Demon is in factory-fresh condition. It presents as a great opportunity to acquire a piece of muscle car history in a fantastic and uncommon color which Dodge went on to discontinue. Over the years, Dodge has put out a plethora of specialty Challenger editions, but none have been more impactful and boundary-pushing as the Demon, which we believe will reflect in the market in terms of collectability.
