The history.
2009 marked the beginning of Porsche’s refresh cycle for the 911. This brought a host of new updates across the range including an updated interior, new front and rear bumpers, and LED tail lights to name a few. Specific to the Carrera S model, a brand direct-injection engine making 385hp due to a handful of engine upgrades.
To many, the sixth generation of 911 is the last right sized one. Following the 997 brought the 991, a larger, heavier 911 that would eventually gain turbos, and on some models, ditch the six-speed manual. This era of Porsche blends the size of the polarizing 996, the looks and refinement of the more traditional 911, and the power and performance of a modern Porsche.

THE CAR.
Chassis # WP0AB29979S721008
The Carrera S on offer here, chassis # WP0AB29979S721008 is finished in its original Meteor Gray paint over Black Full leather interior. This example was ordered new with over $15,000 in options to a grand total of $102,335. Some notable options include Sport chrono package plus, BOSE high end sound, heated and ventilated seats, rear window wiper, power comfort seats with driver memory, and much more.
This Carrera S was originally delivered to Porsche Walnut Creek, in California where it was thoroughly enjoyed by its original owner for 18,700 miles, as their daily driver we would suspect. In 2010, the second owner acquired the car and Porsche of Stevens Creek took over maintenance duties doing routine services as well as bigger ones such as the 20k mile service which includes an oil change, tire rotation, safety inspection, brake pad replacement, and filter changes. The 3rd official owner purchased the car showing 23,027 miles in March of 2014, from Sonnen Porsche in San Rafael, California. For the next 9 years the car would slowly accumulate miles before being bought by the current owner and consignor.
Overall this is a great, turn-key, driver-quality example with low miles and a rare 6-speed manual transmission that is ready for its next caretaker. Considering there were roughly twice as many 997.1s compared to 997.2s, and most of the facelift cars opted for the newly available PDK, it's no wonder why these are so hard to find, yet alone in this great condition. Additionally, the car spent its entire life in California with documentation which is a positive considering some of the rust issues that can creep in with these cars maintained in worse climates.
