The history.

The Vantage nameplate has been used across various Aston Martin models over the years, like the DB6 Vantage and DB4 Vantage. The Vantage moniker was synonymous with performance. Early Vantage specification cars featured upgrades like higher compression heads, triple carburetors, different gear ratios and more. What began as a way to designate models with uprated performance parts eventually became a model designation in and of itself in 1972 when the DBS switched to a V8 engine and officially named the “V8 Vantage.”

By 1977, the Vantage had been upgraded with Aston’s 5.3L V8, producing 385hp and making it the fastest production car reaching a stout 170mph - Instantly becoming the flagship model.

Fast forward a few decades, and the Vantage formula remains - A front engine V8 and rear-wheel drive. This proven formula meant you didn’t need a Ferrari or Lamborghini to own an exotic, high-performance machine. The V8 Vantage easily held its own against its rear-mounted mid-engine rivals with a sophisticated yet daily-drivable character.

THE CAR.

Chassis # SCFBB03B47GC03916

The ultra-low mile 2007 V8 Vantage Coupe on offer here is chassis #SCFBB03B47GC03916 and shows just 2,750 miles on the odometer. It is finished in Aston Martin’s beautiful metallic Titanium Silver over Obsidian Black interior. This Vantage was well-appointed with over $11,000 in factory options. Some of the notable options include upgraded 19 inch wheels, painted brake calipers (Red), heated seats with memory functionality, premium stitching, bluetooth connectivity, xenon headlamps (HID) with powerwash function, premium system which included an upgraded subwoofer and speakers, and a satellite navigation system.

This example was originally delivered to Aston Martin of Troy in Michigan, coincidentally just 15 miles from our showroom in Pontiac, Michigan. From there, the car was sent to Ohio where the first owner essentially never used it, just barely eclipsing 2,600 miles under their care of 13 years. In 2020, a dealer acquired the car and parked it for another 2 years before the technical 3rd owner would purchase it. After 15 years of very limited use, before the acquisition of its second owner, the V8 Vantage was serviced with a full fluids change and new Bridgestone Pontenzas tires, in preparation for continued use. During the second owner’s two year ownership he also drove the car sparingly adding just about 100 miles which brings us to the current day where it sits with just 2,722 miles.

Easily one of the prettiest contemporary Aston Martins with usable performance and drivability, many of these cars have seen plenty of use. To find a car with such low mileage as the example presented here today, is an incredibly rare opportunity to acquire a collector-grade example. This is the final generation of the naturally aspirated V8 and when paired with the 6-speed manual transmission it provides drivers with a grand touring experience unlike any other car built today. Due to its small size and front mounted engine orientation, the V8 Vantage is a blast in the corners, making it a great road tripper or canyon carver. In total, Aston only produced approximately 8100 coupes, and of that batch, it is tough to find them equipped with a true 6-speed manual as from 2007 forward the Prodrive-developed “Sportshift” was the more popular choice. We feel these V8 Vantages are incredibly underrated when compared to its competitors and finding a collector-grade example is becoming increasingly difficult due to availability of these at low costs with high miles.

Included with the sale of this vehicle are the factory manuals, 2 keys, radio manuals, period sales literature, a clean CARFAX, factory tools, umbrella, trickle charger, service records, and a copy of the window sticker.
