The history.

The sports car market was ecstatic when Porsche introduced its first air-cooled Porsche 911 in 1963. Then, thirty years later, the Porsche 911 type 993 was introduced and would become the last air-cooled engine model that Porsche would produce. Often regarded as the most desirable generation of 911, these C4S strike an amazing blend of pure 911 performance with great comfort and drivability in the 993 range.

The 993 C4S wore the much wider Turbo body, with the beefed up Turbo brakes, and stickier tires. The C4S also boasted a power boost from 272hp to 280hp with a top speed of over 165mph.

The 1996 Porsche 911 C4S presented here, chassis # WP0AA2994TS323202 is finished in the wonderful and rare Aventurine Green Metallic (39S) over a full Tan interior. In our research, we found that Aventurine Green was a tier two paint option for these cars, hence why they are so few and far between.

Originally delivered to New Orleans, Louisiana on May 29th, 1996. The car would remain with the same owner and receive frequent use and servicing at the same dealership for their 5 year stint with the car. Early in the ownership history, the CARFAX reports a moderate hit on the front end however after paint meter readings it is apparent the driver side rear quarter is what took the hit. It meters between 14 and 16 while the rest of the car meters between 4 and 5. Additionally, a majority of the total miles were put on the car during the original owners stewardship showing just under 37,000 miles before the car was sold to the Midwest to a buyer in Sherwood, Wisconsin. The C4S remained under their care for the next 22 years with little known history outside of yearly registration renewals and spare operation.

Today this C4S sports just 49,396 miles and cosmetically is in very nice condition with the exception of the front bumper, hood, and windshield all of which are heavily peppered making us believe many of the miles on the car are highway miles. Mechanically the car is incredibly sound providing a really nice driving experience striking a great balance between comfort and performance. Additionally this example has been upgraded with PCCM (Porsche Classic Communication Management) and aids in the cars overall usage capabilities by injecting modern tech into the otherwise analogue driving experience.
